Saving Moo - iPhone Review

Tower defense games are rife amongst the IOS community and they are normally all pretty much the same, however in the case of Saving Moo they are doing this somewhat differently, and, it’s not as farfetched a concept as you might think.

The idea of the game is to protect your herd of cows from the threat of alien abduction. You do this by selecting your breed of cow, from a calf, cow or bull and assign (or strap) weapons to them for fending off the invasion. This is done by collecting bags of ‘moo’ (or as you will quickly tell poop) which as the cattle graze they deposit. The more ‘moo’ you collect and save up, the more cattle and weaponry you can purchase.
Saving Moo does not take its self seriously and to me that’s part of the charm of this game, the cartoony graphics and visuals add to the outrageous concept. This is most apparent in the weapon department where you can choose from chicken launchers, flaming marshmallow cannons and tnt infused scarecrow decoys, these are to name but a few of the crazy arsenal available.

As with most tower defense games the common drag and drop has been replaced with a much easier point and click feature. The game consists of 25 levels which are spread out over five different times of the day and offers that nugget of ‘3 star’ replay ability. This tower defense is amoosing (sorry couldn’t help myself), quirky and once you have adapted to the game play you will be protecting you’re heard in no time.
